Three weeks ago, Frida Fornander spoke of something that we all can only dream of, something she has dreamed of and strived for for years. Frida represented Sweden in Miss Universe. We at Kyäni obviously want to know how it felt to achieve their goals and what Frida has for plans in the future.
Hi Frida! Where has happened lately?
Since last time I have been three weeks in the United States where I competed in Miss Universe – the world’s largest beauty contest with several million viewers. It has really been an experience for life to just get the honor of representing Sweden during such a big event. The crown went to South Africa, a very worthy winner.
How did it feel to reach your goal and stand on stage in Las Vegas?
Standing on stage for such an enormous audience was absolutely amazing, and because I’ve been working on this goal for so many years, I almost had to pinch myself in my arm to see if I was dreaming. All of me was overwhelmed with gratitude, excitement, nervousness and expectation.
Do you have any favorite moments from the competition?
There are many special moments that I will always carry with me, such as the huge crowds of fans who followed us competitors wherever we went, all charity projects we got to help with and of course how unreal it felt to be on the big stage on the final day . But what matters most is all new friendships I received thanks to Miss Universe!
What are your plans for the future like?
I have put my whole focus on Miss Universe in recent years and I will continue my work as Miss Universe Sweden until August when it is time to hand over the crown and the opportunity for the next winner. I have many plans and the future looks bright. I hope to continue to help and inspire people. I want to move to the United States and start my own business on the other side of the Atlantic.
What are your plans for Christmas out?
Immediately after the competition was completed, I was booked in for a model job abroad, but the other day I came back to Sweden. Now I look forward to a happy Christmas with my loved ones and to find back to my routines so that my good health will follow in on the new year. I hope everyone I met this fall during Go Reload will have a wonderful Christmas, and see you again in 2018! Your support and pepp have meant a lot to me during the competition!
